Library/Information Literacy Center Mission Statement
Students and
staff think rationally and creatively, solving problems by
retrieving and managing text and electronic resources to communicate
effectively in an information-based society.
Information Literacy is the term being applied to the skills of
information problem-solving. A person who is information literate is
able to recognize when information is needed and has the ability to
effectively locate, evaluate, and employ the needed information.
Students at Emerald Heights are taught Information Literacy and
follow the Big6 skills process and approach.
